Palestine in the classroom in India

In an article published in The Theatre Times, InSAF India member Sruti Bala and colleague Rashna D. Nicholson reflect on a recent incident at IIT Bombay, where a student complained against the theatre scholars Sharmistha Saha and Sudhanva Deshpande and maliciously accused them of promoting terrorism, merely for screening a well-known documentary on a children’s theatre in Jenin, West Bank. InSAF India stands in solidarity with Saha and Deshpande and underlines the importance of university education that offers historical context to the ongoing genocidal violence in Palestine.
